The Aurum VULKAN VIII-R, deriving its name from ‚volcano‘. Combine the presence and magnitude of this speaker with the name and meaning and who isn’t going to think of great power and strength, energy and action? But, unlike a volcano – sometimes unpredictable and explosive, the VULKAN VIII-R is a much more refined character... showing impeciable manners and control, an astoundingly gentle giant delivering the finest of detail, feeling and emotion at the lowest volumes, and equally at home with the same immersive and captivating detail when driven too.

Like the TITAN, the VULKAN VIII R has a pressure-chamber/reflex design for contoured basses that are deep, clear and punchy. Perfectly integrated in this way, the woofers work with power and precision thanks to especially strong ALTIMA® membranes.

The terrific new high-range ribbon tweeter — technically identical to the one in the Titan — can bring across every impulse with incredible speed. Select components on the frequency separating filter and premium Real Cable® inner cabling underscore the high quality standards.

As a hi-fi stereo speaker or as the main speaker in a high-end surround system, it can easily do without the usual separate subwoofer.
